Welcome to Cruise in Crockett
| The Crockett County Chamber of Commerce will host its first Cruise in Crockett Car Show on Saturday, September 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Maury City Elementary School. Car enthusiasts, make plans to attend this family-friendly event. Spend time with friends and family while listening to the sounds of great 50’s music and enjoying a variety of foods.. Sponsored by the Chamber and local businesses, the car show will feature 49 classes for automobile, motorcycle and tractor entries. Dash plaques will be available for the first 100 entries. Awards will also be given to Best of Show, People’s Choice, Best Paint, Best Under Carriage, Best Interior, Best Engine and Best Trunk or Bed. A Swap Meet will be conducted onsite in addition to exhibits of antique tractors, race cars, mini pulling tractors and barn finds. Spectators will be entertained with games for kids and adults, concessions, vendors and live entertainment. The event will be emceed by George Wallace. At noon, radio legend Conrad Delaney will recognize Crockett County Veterans, firefighters, law enforcement, elected officials and emergency personnel. Afterward, entertainment will begin featuring Blair Simpson, Heather Paige Vaughn, Sarah-Taylor Argo and may others. Car show registration fee is $20 for the first entry; $15 for each additional entry. Registration is 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Early judging and door prizes are available for registrants. Admission is $2 per person. Children under 10 are free. Activities will begin at 10:00 am. This is an event you will not want to miss.
